Often times, credit card companies will decline a customers credit card because the issuing bank will approve payment, but the transaction fails at some other point in the process.
Some typical reasons for decline are:
- Insufficient Funds
- Processor Declined
- Card Activity Limit Exceeded
- Expired Card
- The Purchase is Unusual
- The Billing Address and the IP Address Do Not Match
- The Card is Being Used Abroad
The good news about soft declines is that these transaction failures are temporary and not a result of a failure on our website. We encourage you to contact your bank and then retry the card when you have valid authorization.
